Troy Jens has fished from the age of 3 years old and has over 30 years of guiding and professional angling instruction experience. He has been a full-time guide on Lake Guntersville, Alabama for 15 years and has many more years of tournament fishing experience. He continues working in fishing, outdoor writing, video publishing and photography. Troy has been featured in most major outdoor fishing magazines including Bassmaster, and has had countless appearances in news media including some television shows. Troy also continues to be passionately involved in many arenas to improve conservation, wildlife and habitat management.

Notice - Due to the State of Alabama denying a 2-day license waiver to a few family members who have kids with disabilities, chronic, critical and/or life threatening illness, I am no longer making any referrals to the State of Alabama, especially state revenue based facilities such as the Guntersville State Park Lodge. These wavers have been granted in the past but were denied to these people this year (2012) by the new commissioner for a special event. I find this deeply disheartening, and I will not purchase another fishing license in the state of Alabama unless this issue is remedied by the legislature. |
